C4 HOUSE INTERIOR

TYYZ is a company that will design and build a variety of products from small objects to furniture, houses and large scale buildings. The integration of and continuation of a design philosophy in a building must be persued within the built-in furniture, like the front reception and ticket desk in the Canadian War Museum. The hot rolled thick steel panels and the shapes continue the defensive stance that the building gives in the concrete exterior; the back of the counter where the staff is in contact with the desk is made from warm wood.

RECEPTION DESK WAR MUSEUM

Temporary Event Space design has been an interest of ours for many years and we have designed trade show booths or main space designs for events in Canada US and Europe:

IDS 2012 ENTRY SCULPTURE in collaboration with RAW Design.

TYYZ designs all light fixtures for Lumolar with a focus on LED light fixtures that are environmentally conscious in its light medium selection and enclosure design. Multiple new lights are currently in the process of being developed.

FURNITURE

TYYZ designs any product no matter how complex or technically innovative. We developed a medical cart for a mobile hearing testing station and are currently in the process of developing additional products that are innovative in its technological adaption and use as well as design.

DESIGN BUILD

Throughout our work we are always building prototypes of anything we design and strongly believe that this is the only way towards a successful design. A tradition coming from the modelmaking process in our architectural work. Parallel to the two dimensional paper / paperless CAD process we will always create 3D CAD models and physical prototypes.

D HOUSE WINDOW

Initally our designs were design and build with complete control of quality, we now expect the same quality from our prequalified contractors. Experiences learned during the actual construction are allowing us not only to be able to build anything but help us in comprehending how to assemble things when we are still in the drawing stage of a project.
