IDS 2012 Entry Sculpture
This sculpture was produced in collaboration with the Toronto architectural firm RAW design. 18 km of felt cut offs were hung as an entry sculpture for the Interior Design Show 2012. It consisted of 1,300 individual strips of felt and was called Strip Tease. Christie Digital provided an interactive wall that projected patterns, images of guests and sponsors onto the hanging strip "canvas". The sculpture surrounded the two entry escalators with the 15 meter long strips and created the unique large vertical projection screen with front-projection using two Christie projectors capable of delivering brightness levels of 20,000 lumens. Show visitors experienced a live video camera feed of themselves interacting with the content as well as video feed of the IDS lectures and sponsor logos.
